From the examples of pitch decks in my pitch deck teardown series, you would conclude that attachments in pitch decks are rare. That would be incorrect; I estimate that over 70% of the decks actively used in pitching startups to investors contain one or more attachments. Plus, when I coach clients in building their pitch decks, we end up with an attachments section almost every time.
So today let’s explain why you might need an appendix — and explain which slides are relegated to the afterparty.
